Bryan started his gaming journey with his sister’s NES in 1991 when he was two years old and barely forming memories. Since then he’s imagined a number of products and worlds that he’s sculpted over a career in Physics, Software Development, and now Game Development.

With over a decade of experience in industry as a Software Engineer and teaching the brighter side of math and physics, his goal with building Studio Null Games is to bring together brilliant minds around simple ideas to create visual, audible, and technical wonders.

My first encounter with games sparked a lifelong passion for exploration and creativity within immersive worlds. The younger me cherished the details and wondered how they were made, which eventually fueled my drive to create. Drawn to a variety of genres, especially MMORPGs at the time, I remain fascinated by the depth of well-crafted environments. I love exploring uniqueness in game mechanics, world-building, and visual art; it is this sense of distinctiveness that I seek in every game and strive to evoke in others.

With a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Philosophy, and years of experience as a freelance artist, I have always gravitated toward game development as my primary goal. I aim to combine a love for storytelling with a curiosity for systems, striving to express both as effectively as possible through my visual work.

  • Marketing and Business

I had an older brother who loved video games as a kid, and parents who worried that shooting people would corrupt my young mind into that of a violent criminal, so many of my earliest memories belong to Nintendo IPs. My first of those belong to Mario platformers like Super Mario Sunshine and collect-a-thons like Pokémon Gold (actually the first video game I ever played) they have simply always been in my life. From that moment, I continued to get my hands on any Nintendo, and more specifically pokemon games I could find, and even as an adult with a PC, the charming unique art styles of indie games have always spoken to me. I’ve always loved the art form, and despite warnings my whole life, no I never stopped playing them, and no it was not a waste of time! It’s added to my professional and social life in ways I could never have anticipated.

I have a bachelors from Appalachian State University in Digital Marketing, and completed multiple marketing courses, such as industry specific content from Chris Z of How to Market a Game, and more broad strokes such as SEO boot camps, zapier mo code automation, newsletter building, and more. Out of college, I’ve worked in Marketing and Marketing Operations, and in my free time have spent time in both local and regional event organizing for competitive Super Smash Brothers Melee tournaments.

Hey! I'm Sidd Gandhi, known online as Siddward! Video games have helped shape and guide my life since I was incredibly young. Most avenues of connection in my life between family, friends, and community have had video games near their heart. As a child, playing Super Mario World with my sister and dad imbued a sense of curiousity and interest in secrets and alternate strategies to solving problems. As an adolescent, learning how to connect with my peers and strangers would've been near impossible for me had we not had games to bond over.

Through most of my teen years and as an adulthood, I've played Super Smash Bros Melee competitively. Having a community to interact with, make friends in, and learn from with such a strong shared interest has always been invaluable to me. As someone who has been in the scene for so long, I've been lucky enough to have the opportunities to help host and curate some of these community spaces and events myself. Watching these long lasting tournament series and discords thrive has been an amazing thing for me to see, and the opportunity to attempt to create a space like that from scratch with Studio Null is incredibly exciting.

As a kid, I watched my older brother play through Ocarina of Time. We would skip dialogue and be completely lost, but still find ourselves having a fantastic time running around Hyrule aimlessly. I didn’t have direct access to many games myself when I was young, but I found ways to participate through the internet. Let’s Plays, forum posts, and following walkthroughs.

In many ways, I played games vicariously. I remember going to the store with my mom and just staring at game box art imagining how fun it would be to play them. Eventually the Wii Virtual Console came out and I was able to experience a ton of games for myself. My first real experience with programming was in Java modding Minecraft and building a server. Professionally and academically, my path into technology developed later but with similar enthusiasm. In 2021 I began programming iOS apps for fun while completing my associate’s degree, before continuing on to the University of North Carolina Wilmington to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science. I have since worked as a native iOS developer for a year and a half. Attending a local game jam ignited my passion for creating games.

Louise has been playing video games for as long as she can remember. Some of her earliest memories are of playing Pokemon with her brother on their gameboy color. Since then, she’s never stopped gaming, and has spent far too many hours playing games like RuneScape, Factorio, Stardew Valley, and Slay the Spire. During her time in undergrad at UNC Asheville, she started attending (and later, organizing) Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments, which grew to become an important part of her life.

After her time in Asheville, she earned her Master’s degree in Computer Science at North Carolina State University. Afterward, she stayed at NCSU to work as a research assistant and PhD candidate, where she studied and published in the field of Quantum Communication. During this time, though, her love of games never left, and on the side, she contributed to projects such as Beyond Melee and Lost City/2004scape. She is excited to bring her passion for games to Studio Null!
